Wedoany.com Report-Apr. 16, Aboitiz Power Corporation has completed the disconnection of the 44.640 megawatt (MW) Naga Oil-Fired Power Plant, located at the Naga Power Plant Complex in Naga City, Cebu. In a disclosure to the stock exchange, Aboitiz Power announced that its subsidiary, Therma Power-Visayas, Inc. (TPVI), received confirmation from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines regarding the disconnection of the facility. Additionally, the 0.440 MW Black Start Diesel Engine Generating Unit at the complex was also disconnected from the national grid.
TPVI, fully owned by Aboitiz Power through Therma Power Inc., has managed the Naga Power Plant Complex since acquiring it from Salcon Power Corporation in 2018. Following the acquisition, TPVI invested in extensive rehabilitation efforts to enhance the facility’s operations and ensure reliable maintenance.
