Wedoany.com Report-May 8, Technomak, a UAE-based engineering and construction firm, has signed an engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and integration (EPCCI) agreement with Dixstone, a Netherlands-based solutions provider and affiliate of Perenco, for a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project off the coast of Gabon. The agreement, signed in the UAE, involves the Cap Lopez FLNG project, which aims to advance sustainable energy solutions.

The signing ceremony included Haxer Ali, Group CEO of Technomak, and Michel Gotab, Managing Director of Dixstone Gulf, with Benoît de la Fouchardière, CEO of Dixstone, and El Houssain El Bouzidi, CEO of Technomak Process Systems, in attendance. Haxer Ali stated: “We are honored to be chosen by Dixstone for this impactful LNG infrastructure project. Technomak’s modular EPC capabilities will play a key role in ensuring a safe, timely, and forward-looking execution that supports the global movement toward sustainable energy.”
The Cap Lopez FLNG facility, set to be operational by 2026, will feature a liquefaction barge with an annual production capacity of 700,000 tons of LNG and 25,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It will have a storage capacity of 137,000 cubic meters, utilizing a converted gas tanker as a floating storage and offloading unit. The barge will be constructed and assembled in Dubai before deployment to the Cap Lopez oil terminal in Gabon.
Dixstone secured the construction and integration contract following the project’s final investment decision in early 2023. Michel Gotab noted: “Technomak’s deep expertise in executing complex offshore EPC projects is a valuable asset. We are confident that this partnership will deliver a robust and efficient FLNG solution for gas monetization and Africa’s cleaner energy.”
The project builds on the existing Cap Lopez oil export terminal, enhancing its capacity to support LNG production. Earlier in 2025, Aragon, a Seatrium affiliate, was selected to provide LNG liquefaction technology for the project, further strengthening the initiative’s technical foundation.
This collaboration highlights Technomak’s growing role in modular offshore solutions and aligns with global efforts to promote cleaner energy. The Cap Lopez FLNG project is poised to contribute to sustainable energy development in Africa, leveraging advanced technology and strategic partnerships to meet regional energy needs.
