The throatbush is an essential stationary wear part installed at the pump suction inlet. It forms the sealing clearance with the impeller eye and controls the internal flow recirculation inside the slurry pump.
Manufactured from high-chrome alloy or rubber, the throatbush effectively resists severe abrasion and particle impact from coarse slurry. It prevents sand and solid particles from entering the shaft seal area, protecting the shaft and sealing components from erosion damage.
As one of the main wet-end components, it works together with the impeller, volute liner and FPL insert to ensure stable hydraulic performance. Simple structure and easy replacement greatly reduce maintenance downtime and operating costs.
